Privacy policy

This policy explains what RomeoSEO collects, why, and what you can ask us to delete. It covers both this website and the RomeoSEO application at https://app.romeoseo.com.
The waitlist
If you submit your email address to the waitlist on this site, we store that address with Resend, our email provider, in a segment named Waitlist, together with a note recording that it came from this website. We use it for one purpose: to contact you about access to RomeoSEO.
We do not send a newsletter, we do not sell or share the list, and we do not use it for advertising. Email hello@romeoseo.com and we will remove your address.
Google Search Console data
If you connect Google Search Console, we request the read-only scope. We import search analytics for your property — queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position — and use it only to produce audits, keyword research and tasks inside your own account.
- We never write to your Search Console property.
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and are not shared with anyone.
- You can disconnect the integration at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored tokens.
- We do not use Google user data to train generalised models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except the processors listed below, acting on our instructions.
Your website and your repository
We crawl the public pages of the site you connect in order to build a page inventory. If you install our GitHub App, we read the source of the single repository you grant it, at a pinned commit, in order to produce a change proposal.
- We do not read your repository secrets, and we do not run your code.
- We open pull requests on new branches only. We never push to your default branch, never merge and never deploy.
- You can uninstall the GitHub App at any time, which immediately ends our access.
Account data
Sign-in uses a single-use magic link, so we do not store a password. We keep your email address, the sites you connect, and the audits, research runs and tasks generated in your account.
Processors we use
- Resend — email delivery and the waitlist contact list.
- Google — Search Console data, under the read-only scope you grant.
- GitHub — repository access and pull requests, if you connect it.
- DataForSEO — ranking and SERP data, queried using your site’s domain and keywords.
- OpenAI — model calls used to analyse your content and draft changes.
Cookies and analytics
This marketing site sets no cookies at all, and runs no third-party marketing pixels. The application uses a session cookie that is strictly necessary for you to stay signed in.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings at any time. Waitlist addresses are removed on request. Otherwise we keep data for as long as your account is open.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@romeoseo.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, if you hold an account, email you.
